  • 0.5 tsp (2 g) Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) White Miso Paste
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 0.5 tsp (1 g) Smoked Paprika
  • 0.25 tsp (0.5 g) Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp (15 g) Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tbsp (8 g) Fresh Cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Coat Potatoes: Toss sweet potatoes with melted butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. First Roast: Spread potatoes on baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Make Glaze: Whisk together miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Glaze and Second Roast: Brush potatoes with half the glaze and roast for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Final Glaze: Brush with remaining glaze and roast for 5-10 minutes until caramelized.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro; serve hot.
