  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (halal) or soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 150 g pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 150 g provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp horseradish (prepared, no alcohol)
  • 120 ml sour cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Caramelize Onions: Cook sliced onions in olive oil for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Reserve half for swirl and garnish.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Gently mix beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, seasonings, sauce, and peppers.
  4. Make Cheese Swirl: Combine pepper jack and reserved caramelized onions.
  5. Assemble Meatloaf: Layer half the meat, cheese mixture, then remaining meat in a loaf shape.
  6. Bake: Bake for 55-65 minutes until internal temperature reaches 71ยฐC (160ยฐF).
