- 400g (14oz) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 60g (ยฝ cup) all-purpose flour
- 5g (1 tsp) salt
- 3g (ยฝ tsp) black pepper
- 2g (ยฝ tsp) garlic powder
- 1 large egg
- 120g (1 cup) panko breadcrumbs
- 5ml (1 tsp) vegetable oil or spray
- 30ml (2 tbsp) gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 30ml (2 tbsp) honey
- 15ml (1 tbsp) rice vinegar
- 5ml (1 tsp) sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2g (ยฝ tsp) fresh ginger, grated
- 9g (1 tbsp) toasted sesame seeds
- 6g (2 tbsp) scallions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Prep Chicken: Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Set Breading: Arrange flour, egg, and panko in separate dishes.
- Coat Chicken: Dredge in flour, dip in egg, then press into panko.
- Oil & Air Fry: Spray with oil and air fry at 200ยฐC (390ยฐF) for 10 minutes.
- Flip & Finish: Flip, spray again, and cook for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
- Make Glaze: Simmer gochujang, honey, vinegar, oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Glaze & Rest: Brush with glaze during the last 2 minutes of cooking, then rest.
- Garnish & Serve: Drizzle with glaze and garnish with sesame seeds and scallions.

For maximum crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket and use a light coating of oil.
