  • 15 g (2 tbsp) toasted almond slivers, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 175ยฐC (350ยฐF) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter & Sugar: Cream softened butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Add egg, vanilla, 0.5 tsp orange zest, and salt; beat until combined.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in sifted flour and cardamom until just combined.
  5. Pipe the Cookies: Pipe 4-inch swirls onto baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  6. Bake to Golden Perfection: Bake for 10-12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  7. Prepare the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, melted butter, orange juice, remaining zest, and cardamom until smooth.
  8. Glaze & Garnish: Drizzle warm cookies with glaze and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
  9. Set & Serve: Let glaze set for 15 minutes before serving.
