  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Lime Juice: Adds zest and acidity.
  • 1 tsp (5g) Chipotle Powder: Provides smoky heat.
  • 1 tsp (5g) Honey: Balances spice with sweetness.
  • Pinch of Salt (for Aioli): Enhances aioli flavors.
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Toasted Panko & 1 tsp (5g) Sesame Seeds: Adds texture and aroma.
  • Cilantro Leaves: For garnish.
  • Lime Zest (Optional): For garnish.

Instructions

  1. Make Chipotle Lime Aioli: Combine mayonnaise, lime juice, chipotle powder, and honey; whisk until smooth.
  2. Set Up Dredging Station: Combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper; beat egg; place panko in a dish.
  3. Coat Crab Bites: Pat crab meat dry, shape into mounds, dredge in flour, dip in egg, coat with panko.
  4. Fry to Golden Brown: Heat oil to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) and fry bites for 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Drain & Toss: Drain bites on paper towels, then toss with aioli.
